Welcome back. I’ve been going through some major changes in my life since I last posted. I hope to be back in the groove soon.
This standard Petrarchan is from a year ago. I was going over some of my writing this weekend, and this one “asked” to be posted.
Seeking Purpose #179 The dawn breaks crisp upon a world asleep. I shuffle quietly as coffee brews. A stealthy spirit haunted by my muse, Alone in silence, seeking words to reap. I've fed the feral feline friends that creep About the shack in which I write my views On all and sundry, feelings I infuse. To write fulfills much more than just to weep. What purpose can I find thus with my rhyme? If only for myself, would that suffice? It is in truth, yet I would seek much more, If only I could reach for just one time Another soul that struggles, to entice He seek redemption, then my words endure. Or buy me a coffee
Since this would have been my Mother’s 86th birthday, I’ll dedicate today’s post to her.
Thank you for reading and have a wonderful day.
Nice!
Glad to see you back, Frank. Your poem is lovely and speaks for many of us who write. And that tiny creature is adorable.
